Stronger Knees Bigger Muscle Building
Monday, January 28th, 2008According to a column in MuscleMag, as long as you don’t damage your joints with excessive weights, increasing your quad strength can help protect the cartilage behind your knee caps. Knee cartilage deteriorates over time and leads to osteoarthritis.
Researchers at the Mayo Clinic, continues to report the same column, found that people who had stronger quads had less cartilage loss in the patellofemoral joint. So remember, hit those lunges for not only building muscles in the hams and quads, but for long-term knee health!
