BodyBuilding & Nutritional Supplements - pt 2
……This is a continuation of the original article, also posted on this blog.
Again, the dietary supplement industry has brainwashed many seeking to gain any kind of advantage in their muscle building journey into believing that without the aid of these substances you can’t gain any appreciable amount of muscle mass, “at least not naturally”.
Well, the former director of Weider Global Nutrition said, “Most of the small manufacturers don’t test raw materials coming through the door.” What they do instead is rely on paperwork called a “certificate of analysis” (the written promise from a supplement supplier of an ingredient’s quality and purity). However, any person with reason and logic can see that all this is a promise, nothing more, nothing less. Without actually testing the ingredients, who’s to say that these supplement suppliers aren’t skimming here or skimming there on the quality, purity, and amount of ingredients.
A big problem with all of this is that the Food and Drug Administration, aka the FDA, has a very difficult challenge in enforcing the guidelines on supplements, considering that while the number of supplement makers increased between 2003 and 2006, yet the number of FDA investigators declined by 16%. In addition, the quality of raw ingredients isn’t the only thing under question, it’s also the the real identity of them………
More to come…………
